You and the Environment

The outstanding scientific discovery of the twentieth century is not computers, television, or radio, but rather the complexity of the land organism. Only those who know the most about it can appreciate how little we know about it.

Our United Church Creed reminds us:

We are not alone,
we live in God's world.

As Christians, we are called to care for his world and be good stewards of his creation.  Working together, we can make a difference in our corner of his world.

Burning fossil fuels such as natural gas, coal, oil and gasoline raises the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, and carbon dioxide is a major contributor to the greenhouse effect and global warming.  Check out the links and see how you can make a difference with everything you do.
