The Crescent United Church Men’s group meetings often feature a speaker or presentation on subjects of interest to the members. Other meetings may be planning sessions for work activity or fund-raising related to selected church or community service projects. For instance one recent project of the group was the sourcing and installing of modern AV projection and communications equipment for the congregation’s use. Many of the group’s members serve as well within the congregation’s official committee structure, but the men’s group affords opportunity for men of the church to really get to know one another. Solid friendships are developed, and working together on the various projects allows each member to contribute as they are able. |
