Visiting Ministry

One of the greatest commandments of Jesus is that we love one another. One of the ways we fulfill that commandment is through our Visiting Ministry. We reach out to those with needs. Members of our community who are in hospital or home-bound need our care and to know that we are there for them.

The Visiting Ministry at Crescent United Church offers compassionate responses to the needs of congregational members and adherents in ways that build and sustain community and provide opportunities for spiritual growth. The Minister, the Congregational Care Team and Lay Volunteers are involved.

As a Christian community, collectively we have a responsibility for congregational care. Please remember that our Visiting Ministry people can only provide support for those we know about. We need YOU, the congregation, to tell us where the needs are.

Let's respond to the call to be caring Christians. The Congregational Care Team and the Minister will work with you in this mission.

Mark 2:17

Jesus said that it's not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

Many people never receive a visitor and loneliness can strike hard. Sometimes some don't know how to get through a tragedy or are unsure of what tomorrow will bring.
