Worship

In Worship we truly come together as equals.  

We are all on a journey through life – seeking meaning to our existence, answers to the big questions, help and guidance when life presses us into encounter with God, the Ground of Being.

Worship is a time to gather with the rest of the family and exercise the soul. It offers opportunity to express, collectively and individually, one's gratitude for the gifts of God's Creation, one's longings and concerns, one's cares and hurts; to seek guidance and instruction from those who have gone before and those who share the journey with us; to express and discover that indeed 'We are not Alone, we Live in God's World'.
 

The purpose of worship is to prepare us to live lives of meaning in God's world. Our worship is not an escape from the world but an opportunity to understand our place in the world.

At Crescent music is important to our approach and devotion to God. We sing songs that reflect the tradition as well as new sacred songs. We are blessed by both a dedicated and gifted music director, David Proznick and a talented and skilled keyboardists, Linda Fowler. Together with other musicians they  lead us in rich musical experience that enhances our worship.

Each Sunday our minister, the Rev. Bill Booth, offers us an inspiring message, informed by Scripture, and reflective of today's world. Our service always includes a time of prayer when everyone who wishes can share their hopes and gratitude to God.

 Crescent does not have a dress code for Sunday worship. You're invited to attend in your normal everyday casual clothes or if you wish a more formal clothing. You will find our regulars dressed in both these ways.

Our regular weekly worship begins at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Feel free to arrive 15 or 20 minutes early to share in the friendly conversation and get to know your neighbours. If Sunday mornings are often busy for you we also offer a worship time on  the 3^rd Saturday of each month at 5:30pm which includes a fellowship meal and simplified worship.
